Julia Marie Porter, age 60, of Brookfield, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield surrounded by her loved ones.

Julia was born on April 11, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Richard Alford Porter and Francis Skalcky. A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends. Julia had a gift for kindness-she never knew a stranger, always sought the best in others, and welcomed everyone with open arms.

She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and most of all, spending time with her family. Her beloved cat, Luna, was also a constant companion. Julia's home was a place of comfort and laughter, where all who entered felt cared for and valued.

She is survived by her children: Dustin Allen Porter-Wagster (Katie), Alicia Marie Wagster, Kathryn Grace Wagster, and Dalton Hunter James Wagster; thirteen grandchildren: Jayden, Ciaran, Aurelia, Isaac, Gideon, Phoenix, Maverick, Alice, Alyvia, McCartney, Dalilah, Nirvana, and Iris; and six siblings: James, Richard, Susan, Michael, Brynna, and Derryck.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Jessica and Cody Wagster; her furry companion, Muse; and her dearest friends, Roger Conklin and Joe Burris.

A private celebration of life with be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, payable to Alicia Wagster, and may be left at or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.

Julia will be remembered for her loving heart, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering devotion to family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the lives of all who knew her.
