Julia Rae Smith, infant daughter to David and Tierra Smith, was born December 4, 2025, weighing one pound, four point one ounces and measuring ten-point six inches tall, at the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, and passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 with her parents by her side.

Paternal great grandparents, Willard and Debbie Gussler, Jimmy Smith, and maternal great grandfather, Paul David Conley, preceded our angel in death.

Her time with us was brief, but the love she brought into everyones lives is endless. Sweet Julia will always remain with us, forever in our hearts.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her parents, David and Tierra Smith of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, one brother, Lucas Hicks, Mimi, Jolena Smith of Paintsville, Kentucky, Pop, Rusty Smith of Paintsville, Kentucky, Papa and Nana, Benji and Paula Howard of Anderson, South Carolina, three aunties, Taylor Smith of Thelma, Kentucky, Samantha Smith of Paintsville, Kentucky, Lakyn Blanton and husband Boyd of Salyersville, Kentucky, maternal great grandmother, Jerri Conley of Salyersville, Kentucky, Thomas and Diana Howard of Oil Springs, Kentucky, paternal great grandmother, Joyce Smith of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, two special cousins, Brenton and Landry Blanton of Salyersville, Kentucky, a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and most of friends who love and miss her.

Funeral services for Julia Rae Smith are set to private as prayer is asked for the parents and family.

To David and Tierra, My heartfelt sympathy to you both. losing a little one is one of the worst things we go through down here. But remember that little Julia Rae is in the arms of God in Heaven and is an angel now. Her spirit will always, always be with you.
