Julia A. Tolin

Julia Ann Tolin, 79, of Holton, KS, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at The Pines in Holton. She was born May 25, 1945 in Higginsville, MO, the daughter of Roy and Ruth (Brown) Garner.
Julia graduated from Eldorado Springs High School in 1963 and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at St. Luke's Nursing School. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Holton Hospital, VA Hospital and St. Francis Hospital all in Topeka, KS. She retired from Cardiology Consultants of Topeka.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton and was an avid bowler.
Julia married Daryl Lyle Tolin on April 20, 1968 in Holton, KS. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2015; after 47 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruth Garner and a sister, Jean Hawkins.
Survivors include her daughter, Deanna Flott (Todd) of Carrollton, TX; son, Darren Tolin (Valerie) of Tecumseh, KS and 5 grandchildren, Camryn, Kendall, Skyler, Peyton and Logan.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Julia will lie in state Monday afternoon to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Holton Fire Department c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
