Julia Lavay White

Julia Lavay White left this world peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on September 29, 1927, to Bee and Birdie White, Julia was a beloved member of her family and a cherished friend to many.

Julia is survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and wisdom touched the lives of all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce on January 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Wade Myles officiating. Prior to the service, a public viewing will be held at the same location beginning at 10:30 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.

Julia will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Julia was preceded in death by her father, Bee White; mother, Birdie Dickey White; brothers, Bud White, Lig White, Sonny White and sisters, Thelma Dunn, Hazel Cade, Willie Mae Dowdy, Bessie Turner, and Shirley Moore.
