In Loving Memory of Julian Thomas Cook
September 26, 1955 – March 30, 2025
We share with heavy hearts the unexpected passing of Julian Thomas
Cook on March 30, 2025, at the age of 69. Tom had been facing health
challenges for quite some time, yet he remained strong and determined
throughout.
He was born on September 26, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and later
moved to Denver, Colorado, where he spent most of his life. Tom was a
true competitor at heart-he loved playing baseball, golf, and bowling,
and always gave his all.
Throughout his career, Tom worked in banking, car dealerships, and
proudly served the public as a bus driver for RTD. He was once married
and later divorced, with no children of his own, but he deeply loved
and cared for his extended family.
Tom is survived by his sister Cathy Elliott and her husband Bob of
Golden, CO; his stepfather William J. George of Aurora, CO;
half-sister Susan George of Aurora, CO; half-brother Bill George Jr.
of Denver, CO; and half-sister Debbie Scherlong and her husband Bill
of Westminster, CO.
He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Crystal E.
Fox of Brighton, CO; Heather M. French of Westminster, CO; Robbie and
Danny Scherlong of Westminster ; Gregory and Landon Darington of
Texas; and Gabriel and Autumn. He was a proud great-great-uncle to
Ariana and Alton.
Tom also leaves behind his cousin Regina Trautman and her husband Karl
of Arkansas; cousin Jeannie of Arizona; and Uncle Angus of Sydney,
Nova Scotia, Canada.
Tom will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering love for
family, and the way his laughter and wisdom touched everyone he met.
He brought joy, stories, and warmth into every room-and his memory
will forever live in our hearts.

Tom was a great guy. What a competitor, he was a great home run hitter in softball, good bowler, and not so bad at golf, a natural at sport. Excellent collection agent. So sorry to hear about his passing, I know he dealt with heart issues all his life. RIP Tom
