Julian Viet Dao, age 29, of Plano, TX, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. Born in Plano on April 18, 1996, Julian was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. At family gatherings, he could be often seen with a gentle spirit.
Julian was a gifted young man whose talents were as deep as they were diverse. He excelled in violin, piano, and swimming, each of which reflected his discipline, sensitivity, and quiet determination. Thinking of a career in medicine, he studied biology in college. He loved video games and found joy in traveling with his family, especially on cruises where they explored the beauty and diversity of the world together.
A contemplative soul, Julian was often drawn to Buddhist temples, where he found peace in meditation and the practice of mindfulness and kind living. These spaces and teachings nourished his spirit and offered him grounding and clarity throughout life. His life was one in which it invited all who knew him to love in ways that they did not know possible.
He is survived by his mother, Dieu Ngo; his father, Thai Dao; his brother, Nathan Dao; and his sister, Alexis Dao. Julian also leaves behind grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
A funeral service to honor Julian's life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Aria Cremation & Funeral Home, located at 19310 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75252.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Julian's memory to a charity of your choice, particularly those supporting mental health and Buddhist temples.
We invite all who knew and loved Julian to join us in celebrating his life-a life marked by deep compassion and enduring love.
