Julian M. Greene passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, at his home in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 95. He was born on September 2, 1930, in Brooker, Florida, to the late David Jasper Green and Lucrecia Green.
Julian's professional journey began as an accountant for Carp Co., a role that sparked his dedication to hard work and meticulousness. It is here he met his dear wife Karen, and their incredible 60-year love story began. Over the years, he rose through the ranks to become a co-owner of several successful machinery manufacturing companies, including C.I. Caps and Edgewater Machine and Fabricators. His contributions to the industry were significant, and he was well respected by colleagues and peers alike.
In addition to his successful career, Julian proudly served in the United States Army, which instilled in him a sense of duty and commitment to his country. His quiet demeanor and soft-hearted nature endeared him to many. Those who knew him recognized his genuine kindness and unwavering support for his family, which he placed above all else. Julian was an all-around good person, an animal lover with gentle spirits, and someone who always found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as watching wrestling and listening to country music.
Julian is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Greene; their sons, Michael Robert (Misty) Greene, Kevin Greene, and Christopher Scott (Anne Christine) Greene; and his grandchildren, Mary, Julie, Katie, Carly, Brandon, and Makayla. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Makynzie, Olivia, Ray, Anna, David, Charlie, Sunny, and Milo, who brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Jasper Green and Lucrecia Green; his son, David Julian Greene; his sister, Madeline Green Williams; and his brother, David Wilson Green.
