Julian Cleon Pruitt, 94, of 461 Rock Hill Church Road, Inman, South Carolina died July 31, 2025, at Lakewood Assisted Living in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late James Rufus Pruitt, Sr. and Bessie Cannon Pruitt. He was a member and Elder of Inman Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Wofford College and attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He was retired from Enterprise Computer Systems where he was Chief Scientist.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Caldwell Pruitt. He is survived by two sons, Richard E. Pruitt and wife Sue of Campobello, South Carolina and Rev. John C. Pruitt of Kernersville, North Carolina, two grandchildren, Jacob Pruitt and Mary Grace Chandler (Clay), and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Margaret Banks Cannon and one brother, James R. Pruitt, Jr.
Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. John C. Pruitt. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home of Richard and Sue Pruitt in Campobello, South Carolina and will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Memorials may be made to Gramling Methodist Church or Gentiva Hospice.
The family would like to thank all of the special folks at Lakewood Assisted Living and Gentiva Hospice for their kindness and the care they extended to Julian.
