Julian Sambrano Rios, 90, of Lometa, formerly of Pearsall, passed away on April 13, 2025.

Julian's wishes were to be cremated.  There will be a memorial visitation held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Julian was born on September 15, 1934, in Hindes, TX, to Julian and Guadalupe (Sambrano) Rios.  He grew up and spent most of his life in Pearsall before moving to Lometa to be closer to his son and family. On December 15, 1955, Julian married the love of his life, Romana.  Julian faithfully served his country in the US Army (1953-1956) during the Korean War.  After the military, most of his career was spent as a carpenter, a trade he enjoyed and was extremely talented at.  He was also the supervisor for low-income housing for a period of time before retiring in 2005.

Faith was also important to Julian, and many years back, he accepted Christ into his life and was a born-again Christian and believer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Beatrice Berrelez and Maria Moreno, and his granddaughter, Natalie Kucera.

Survivors include his wife, Romana Alaniz Rios; his son, Edward Rios and wife Michelle; his daughters, Diana Valenzuela and husband Eloy, Eddie Stroud and husband Jack, and Debbie Rios; his brothers, Jose Rios and David Rios; his sisters, Teresa Rios and Dominga Carrizales; his grandchildren, Valerie Faust and husband Ernest, Brittany Maxey and husband AJ, Josalyne Rios, Savana Stroud, Michael Slayton, Aaron Glende, and Ashton Glende; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Faust, Megan Faust, Alex Glende and great-great-grandchildren, Lilith Faust and Noah Faust.
