Julian Ross Saenz of Spur, formerly of Littlefield, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the age of 55. He was born July 27, 1957 in Littlefield, to Roberto and Beatrice (Ross) Saenz. Julian graduated from Littlefield High School in 1977 and graduated from South Plains College in 1980 with a Degree in Journalism. He worked as a journalist and Associate Pastor. Julian married Martha Ramos on May 22, 1999 in Lubbock. He was a Pastor of the Primera Iglesia Bautista in Spur.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha; father, Roberto of Littlefield; son, Adam Rico of Spur; two daughters, Melissa Mendez and Stephanie Rico both of Spur; three sisters, Margaret Saenz and Connie Saenz both of Littlefield, and Rebecca Castillo of Dallas; and four grandchildren.
Julian was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice in 1997 and brother, Benny Saenz in 1975.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Ministerios Nueva Vida. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Ministerios Nueva Vida of Lubbock with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow.
