Julian "Wayne" Strickland

Julian "Wayne" Strickland, 74, of Snow Camp, NC passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
A native of Nash County, he was a faithful husband to the late Judy Ellington Strickland taking care of her until the very end. and the son of the late Percy Albert Strickland and the late Estelle Whitley Strickland. He was a great Dad even though he could not go to where his son was due to health issues on both sides he called daily checking on Steven. He loved his family, He was loved by all who knew him. He retired from the City of Graham.
Survivors include a son, Steven Strickland and wife Brenda of Bear Creek; brother, Percy Allen Strickland of Burlington; two sisters, Faye Ray Jones of Florida and Gail Ulfig and husband Ken of Snow Camp; and his faithful loving companion Sadie, his dog that stay by his side. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Hyatt.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Mark Hurt and Rev. Brian Covert with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
A special thank you to his "Special Angel" Natasha McLean and her precious family who took him special foods showing him kindness. Allen his brother brought him groceries, meds and Cheeseburgers and milkshakes, and James Smith came monthly to take him out to town.
