Julian Horace Taunton Jr.

Julian Horace Taunton Jr., age 72, passed away in Clayton, Georgia on March 20, 2026.

Julian was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 23, 1953 to the late Julian Horace Taunton Sr. and late Betty Gilbert Thompson. Julian was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent many years as a superintendent and project manager with Miller Electrical Contractors. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.

Julian had a deep and abiding faith, and he was passionate about sharing the Word of God, leading many to Christ through his testimony and love for others. He loved the outdoors and found great joy in nature, as well as in spending time with his family. Julian also enjoyed life's adventures, always embracing each moment with a spirit of enthusiasm and gratitude. He never encountered a project he couldn't handle and demonstrated a wide range of talents throughout his life.

Julian is survived by his wife, Vickie Taunton; daughter, Tonya Taunton; step-daughters, Melanie Chapman and Ashley Chapman; siblings, Jean Goepp and Becky Boggs; grandchildren, Brandon Bergen, Ansley Bergen, Amber Bergen, Jasmine Bonner, and Paden Flanagan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026 at 2:00pm in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel.
