Julianna L. “Jul’s” Henkins, 36, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, as the result of an automobile accident.
Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, at Word of Life Church, Rock Island, with Rev. Scott Reece officiating. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, at the church. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Julianna’s memory.
Julianna Lynn Henkins was born November 14, 1988, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Cheryl (Whitcomb) Henkins. She held a variety of jobs over the years, most recently serving as assistant manager at ALDI in Silvis, Illinois.
Jul’s had a heart for helping others. She loved her time working as a traveling in-home CNA so much that she had recently returned to nursing school to continue her education. While at ALDI, she took it upon herself to raise extra funds to donate food to those in need, going above and beyond what the store was able to do.
Family was the most important thing to Jul’s—especially her beloved daughter, Tiana. She was the epitome of “never met a stranger.” If you knew Jul’s, you considered her a friend; that’s simply how she made people feel. She loved nature and being outdoors, whether walking trails, riding dirt bikes, kayaking, or cruising on her Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Fearless and adventurous, she even went zip lining by herself—just because.
Jul’s is survived by her pride and joy, daughter Tiana Ludin; her step-son, Colby Lambert; her parents, Cheryl Henkins of Rock Island, and Donald Henkins of Missoula, Montana; her brother and sister-in-law, Justin and Mallory Henkins of Montana; her sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Juan Alejo of Moline; nieces and nephews, Lance and Leo Alejo, and Alexander, Annabelle, and Elizabeth Henkins; her faithful dog companion, Snow; as well as countless friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chance Henkins; maternal grandparents, Beatrice and Bruce Whitcomb; and paternal grandparents, Donna and Ralph Henkins.
