Julie Ann Astell, age 65 of Savage, MN passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2024.
Julie Ann Astell was born to Glen and Beverly Nansen in Winger Minnesota on May 29, 1959. She was the fourth of five children. Julie enjoyed making friends in school and attended school in Winger, Lakeville and Howard Lake.
After graduating from Howard Lake High School, Julie enrolled as a Medical Technician at Lakeland Medical and Dental Academy. Julie obtained a degree as a Medical Technician and gained employment at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Subsequently she was employed R&D Systems for over 35 years, serving in multiple roles until retirement in 2020. During this period, she met her husband, Guy Astell. Julie and Guy raised a son, Chris, their only child.
Julie was dedicated to caring for her family and enjoyed reading. She reminded many of her mother as a gentle, supportive and caregiving person.
Julie is preceded in death by her mother, Beverly, and father, Glen.
Survivors include her husband: Guy Astell, son: Chris children: siblings, Mark Nansen, Gary (Darcy) Nansen, Paul Nansen, and Sheryl (Rick) Menden.
