Julie Anne Balck

Julie Anne Balck, 76, of Redmond, Oregon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2025. Born on July 15, 1949, in Tacoma, Washington, to Art and Thelma Kempf, she was the middle of three children.

Julie married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Don, on June 14, 1969, and together they shared 56 years filled with family, faith, love, and laughter. Julie found her calling early in life as a registered nurse, caring for others with the same tenderness and compassion she showed to everyone she loved. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, her gentle heart, unwavering faith, and quiet strength will remain a lasting example to those she leaves behind.

Julie is survived by her husband Don; sister Margi (Gene); sister-in-law Sally; children Vicki and Greg; daughter-in-law Toni; granddaughters Allie (Roman), Ashley (Liam), Cassie (Kyle), and Emily (Dustyn); and great-grandchildren Noah, Violet, Everly, and Neil. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Auggie.

A celebration of Julie's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, at Highland Baptist Church in Redmond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Partners in Care - Hospice House in Bend.
