Julie Brand passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by her family.
Born in Albany, Georgia, on October 27, 1944, and raised in Seattle, Washington, where she graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1962. She was also crowned Miss Washington as a young woman in 1965. Julie moved to Napa, California in 1973, where she built a full and meaningful life. She was the proud owner of JB Accounting and JB Antiques, combining her sharp business sense with her passion for collecting.
Julie loved playing bridge with friends, volunteering and collecting antiques and miniatures. Whether creating, playing cards, cooking, or traveling, she found her greatest joy in moments spent with those she loved. She had a vibrant sense of humor and a memorable laugh.
She is survived by her significant other of 37 years, Craig Griffith; her daughter, Elizabeth Horton, and son-in-law, Matt; her precious grandchildren, Ava, Amelia, and Benjamin; her sister, Carol Benson, and brother-in-law, Gary Farmer; her stepfamily and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlando Henry and Mary Elizabeth Brand, and her brother, James Brand.
Julie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
