Julie Cecil Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 8, 2025.
Julie Ann Cecil, aged 72, passed away on July 28, 2025, in Vancouver, WA. Born on September 28, 1952, Julie was known for her exceptional cooking and baking skills that she shared with those around her. She also enjoyed walking her beloved dog, Patch, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Julie dedicated many years as a para-educator in the Hockinson School District, having started her career in Goldendale, WA, before relocating in 1991.

A devout attendee of Glenwood Community Church, Julie found great joy in her faith and community. Her hobbies included sewing, baking, and traveling, especially trips to visit her sisters in Yakima or adventurous excursions with her sister-in-law. Julie never missed a chance to support her grandchildren at their sporting or school events and cherished the time spent with her great grandkids.

A service to celebrate Julie's life will be held on September 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Glenwood Community Church located at 12201 NE 72nd Ave., Vancouver WA. Those who knew Julie will remember her as a generous soul, always ready to lend a hand or share a meal or her delicious baked goods, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness.

Julie was such an amazing Para Educator and student advocate at Hockinson Middle School. She worked with my son (and daughters) in many different capacities, always staying calm yet effective. She was always friendly and so fun to talk with. She was so proud of her family. I know she will be missed by so many. We will be out of town for the Celebration of Life. I just wanted you to know how much she meant to my family. Nancy O´Neill-Bratt
