Julie Corinne Davidson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 19, 2024, at her home in Florence, MS. She was 74 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024, and again from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 on Monday. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Cemetery in Brandon.
Julie was born on March 6, 1950, to Lee Russell Watkins and Florine Shaw Watkins in Philadelphia, MS. She retired from South Central Bell after 25 faithful years. Julie was also an active and faithful member of Florence Assembly of God where she taught Sunday School and served as church secretary for 35 years. Julie loved her family, and she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was selfless, always putting others before herself. She lived a life of endurance, battling health issues for 25 years that most men couldn’t survive a week with. But she never let her faith or service waiver. She endured to the end and showed the true life of Christ through it all being a caretaker for both of her in laws and her mother for 15 years. She was the strongest and most selfless person you could ever meet. To know her was to love her and to see what she endured is to respect her. She was a true champion of the embodiment of Christ. She will truly be missed and now she has received her reward.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Russell and Florine Watkins, and brother, Ken Watkins. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Terry Davidson; sons, Ted Davidson (Filisha) of Florence, MS, Marcus Davidson (Erica) of Columbus, MS; daughter, Brandi Brooks (Jeff) of Smithville, MS; grandchildren, Jacob, Kyle, and TerriAnn Davidson, Welton, Trae, and BrookLynn Davidson, Elijah, Jerimiah, Amanda, TJ, and Bella Brooks; and great grandchildren, Eden Davidson (Jacob), and Walt Brooks (Elijah).
