Julie A. Dewey, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. In lieu of a traditional funeral, (per Julie's wishes) the family plans to have a Celebration of Julie's Life in Mar or April 2026. Contact family for details as this time draws nearer.

Julie Ann Dewey was born Julie A. Falk in St. Mary's hospital K.C. MO; Jan 29, 1955. She spent early childhood in the KC Metro until her father's work relocated the family to New Jersey. Upon her dad's passing, Julie's mom returned to family ties in the Midwest, moving back to Kansas City and later to Chicago. Throughout childhood family vacation travels, Julie fell in love with the west coast and when she was of an age to venture out on her own, California is where she went.

In California, Julie worked, played, fell in love, married Allan Retterath and bore 3- children. She continued to work, play and raise children in CA. Later in life circumstances brought Julie, her mom and her older brother back to the Midwest. Julie brought her youngest daughter with her, while the older children remained near their dad in CA. While living in Clinton, MO Julie found love again, marrying Brian G. Dewey. Julie thrived as she relentlessly pursued her roles as daughter, mom, grandma, wife, entrepreneur, caregiver, artist, volunteer... list goes on.

Julie became ill in early 2024 and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Mar 2024. After months of difficult treatment, she was succumbed to the disease Aug 4, 2025; while in the care of hospice, her husband and her children.

She is survived by siblings James Falk, Michelle Schomburg, Lauren Stevens, CT Falk; husband Brian Dewey (Clinton, MO); children Chelsea Aaron (Haiku, HI), Jack Falk (Coasta Mesa, CA), Sarah Donley (Clinton, MO) as well as eleven Grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
