Julie Ann (Webb) Hicks, 68, of LaGrange, IN (formerly of Winamac, IN) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1957 in Winamac to the late Charles R. "Chuck" and Mary Ann (Hauser) Webb. Julie graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1975. She later graduated from Indiana Business College in Fort Wayne, IN. She married Samuel Hicks on September 24, 2005 in Winamac.
Julie retired from Parkview LaGrange Hospital where she had worked as a phlebotomist. For many years, she worked at Winamac Community Middle School and held various summer jobs. Prior to that, she ran a daycare from her home. No matter where she was employed, she brought joy and happiness with her.
Julie's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed attending all their various events. Nothing made her happier than spending time with them. She traveled with her granddaughter, Kairi, to many of her national softball tournaments in Destin, FL and Branson, MO.
Julie was an avid reader who could often be found with a cup of coffee and a book. She and Sam also enjoyed traveling. They took many road trips and had many adventures multiple times a year. Julie loved a good burger and bookmarked many trips by which one had the best burger. One highlight of her day was competing against her step-daughter-in-law on the daily Wordle puzzle.
Julie had many close friends that she considered family. She and Deena Lowry had many trips and adventures together. Julie will be deeply missed.
