Julie A. Pardee, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home. She was born on January 16, 1946, to Raymond and Meredith (Smith) Carl in Marshall, Michigan.

After graduating Onsted High School, Julie went on to earn her Master's Degree in Special Education. She worked for the Lenawee Intermediate School District as a Preprimary Special Education Teacher from 1970 until her retirement in 2008. Julie was a hardworking, loving teacher, working with special needs preprimary children and their parents in both stressful and rewarding times. Her knowledge and experience were passed on to many of her co-workers, and she received many loving accolades in her retirement.

On August 11, 1978, she married Robert Pardee in Adrian, Michigan, he survives. Julie was both a homemaker and mother to two children. She had an eye for fashion and interior decoration, besides always dressing elegantly. She enjoyed reading, collecting antiques and cut glass. Julie had a love for animals, especially her outdoor cats and her dog Max. She enjoyed nature; watching the seasons change, but spring and autumn were her favorites. Julie especially liked watching her hydrangea plants bloom, and she became an avid bird watcher in her retirement. Robert and Julie also enjoyed driving to the Michigan West coast each summer to see Lake Michigan, visit Saugatuck/Douglas and have breakfast at the Ida Red restaurant.

Left to cherish Julie's memory are her husband, Robert; son; Michael (Megan) Pardee; daughter, Nicole Ozanich and sister, Jane Carl (Jan Gippo). She is preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at a later date.

Contributions in Julie's honor can be made to Optimal Care Hospice in Jackson, Comfort Keepers in Jackson or the Lenawee Humane Society. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.marryfh.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
