Julie Ann Walk, 52, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 30, 1973, in Wabash to Roy and Billie Jean (Porter) Monroe.
Julie married Larry Walk on December 3, 2005, in Wabash; they have spent nearly 20 loving years together. She enjoyed playing and listening to music, and being outdoors: fishing, hiking, mushroom hunting, and being near water. Julie loved celebrating the holidays, especially Halloween. She collected crystals, and liked to go thrifting. Above all, she cherished spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Larry, of Wabash, five children, Rebecca (Joseph) Roose, of Syracuse, Indiana, Jared (Allyson) Hurd, of Warsaw, Indiana, Bridget Conliff and Larry (Ashley) Walk, Jr., both of Wabash, and Amanda (Matthew) Kerr of Urbana, Indiana, father, Roy Monroe, of Wabash, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Brenda (Jason) Bradfield and Sharon Monroe, both of Peru, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2025 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Friends and family may call from 9:30-11:00 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
