Julie Ann Wilkes, age 55, wife of Anthony “Pete” Crawford, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.

She was born on February 8, 1970 in Clinton, South Carolina and is the daughter of Judy Satterfield Wilkes and the late Buddy Wilkes. She was a former CNA and formerly employed with Whitten Center, Laurens County Disability and Special Needs and NHC and was of the Baptist faith. Julie Ann was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and niece. She loved the beach and being with family and friends. Her hobbies included watching soap operas and ordering from Temu. She had a heart of gold, beautiful inside and out; there was nothing she wouldn’t do for anyone.

Julie is also survived by her children, Anthony Ridge Crawford, LaShun Woods, Kasey Wilson (Brad), Jessica Crawford (Bo); her grandchildren, Alexis Duckett, Blade Crawford (Heaven), Brooklyn Woods, Makalyn Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Alexandria Wilson, Christian Wilson, Kadon Crawford, Jaydon Crawford, Lathan Crawford, Ayden Crawford; her five great-grandchildren; her brothers, Gregg Wilkes (Jennifer), Joey Wilkes;  her sister-in-law, Regina McFerrin (Todd); her aunts, Vicki Satterfield Tucker (Johnny), Flo McClendon (James), Ione Hendrix; her nephews, Peyton Wilkes (Kiyli), Christopher Wilkes (Ashley), Chase Wilkes, Andy Gregory (Barbara), Rudy Hamrick (Brandi), Austin McFerrin, her cousins, Zach Wooten, Kahne Wooten, Kenneth Wilkes (Mary), Angie Cunningham (Jay), Angel Nance (Scott), Amy Kirby (Mike), Reggie McClendon (Crystal), Michelle Miller, Todd Wigley (Tammy); her special great-niece and nephew, Raelynn Wilkes and Harrison Wilkes; other great-nieces and nephews, Eva Gregory, AJ Gregory (Skylar) and Emma Kate Norton.

In addition to her father, Julie was preceded in death by her daughter Taylor Crawford; her maternal grandparents, Walker and Lucille Satterfield; her paternal grandparents, Nellie and Boyd Wilkes; her cousin, Johnsie Tucker and her uncle, Johnny Satterfield.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. Mark Wilkes officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
