Julie Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Powers-Kell Funeral Home - Jamestown on Dec. 10, 2025.
Julie Williams, of Mt Sterling, Ohio, passed away December 3, 2025, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was born November 7, 1956, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of, and 3rd child of, the late Douglas L. and Luella J. (Shaw) Williams. Julie was the oldest of 7 girls, and as such was like a mom for some of us. Julie was a daughter, sister, mom, grandmother, and a great grandmother, and she played more than one role for many of us. In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Shaun P. Williams; granddaughter Rocky; brother Doug; two nephews, Chris and Willy; and two brothers-in-law James and Earney. She is survived by three children, Samantha, Keith, and Freddy Williams; five grandchildren, Dyllan (Richelle), Quella, Jarred, Story, Soveigha, Hendrix, and Zeppy; and bonus granddaughter Lacey; eight great grandchildren, Kaillen, Kora, Zariah, Zairrian, Myah, Delilah, Honsti, and Carlito, and a baby boy on-the-way; nine siblings, Robert Williams, Valarie (Rick) Worley, Rosena Willaims, Deaon Williams, Regina (Tom) Wiliams Neff, Joseph (Carrie) Williams, Salina Williams, Edith Daniel, and Mary (Reif) Rowland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Three things Julie wanted her family to know: She was saved, she just didn't talk about religion with others because of arguments; She loved her family very much; and she knew she was going to see Shaun again, and that gave her peace! Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Powers-Kell Funeral Home in Jamestown. A service will take place at the close of visitation at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
