In Loving Memory of Juliett Ann (Inman) Ogletree.
Juliett Ann (Inman) Ogletree was born March 13, 1958, in Fort Carson, Colorado.
She passed away at the age of 66 on December 30, 2024, in Beltsville, Maryland.
The state of Maryland had been her home since 1998.
She was the oldest of 4 children, and obtained her primary education in Central California,
attending school in Delhi and Atwater, prior to moving to Merced.
Juliett then attended Merced High School, graduating in 1976, a year after her future
husband, Richard Ogletree graduated. After attending Merced Community College
for a year, Juliett began working at Farmers Insurance. It was late that same year, 1976,
when the magical journey began. After never giving each other even the time of day
while living right around the corner from each other for years, the future “Mr. & Mrs.
Tree” finally started “hanging out” together.
Richard was attending Merced Community College, but in the Fall of 1977, they agreed
that it was time to get away from Merced. In February of 1978, Richard joined the U. S.
Air Force. On May 20, 1978, they exchanged vows at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Merced.
Over the next 46 years, they enjoyed life from Monterey, CA to San Angelo, TX to
Berlin, Germany to San Antonio, TX, to their final stop in Beltsville, MD,
just outside of Washington, DC.
Through their union, they were blessed with two beautiful children: Richard “RJ” II,
their first-born, and Jeremy. At the time of her passing, Juliett was in the process of planning
her retirement after a long career as a Federal Government employee.
Juliett is preceded in death by her mother, Hilda J. Eddings, her father, Foster Inman,
and stepfather, Thomas L. Eddings, Sr.
Juliett is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Richard Ogletree, her sons,
Richard J. Ogletree, II, of Denton, MD and Jeremy J. Ogletree of Los Angeles, CA. She
also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Julian Taylor and Jasmine Ogletree of Atlanta, GA,
Laila Ogletree, Brianna Ogletree, Alissa Ogletree, Jace Ogletree, of Denton, MD, and
Jalen Rashad of Boston, MA; her siblings, Evelyn Inman of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas L.
Eddings, Jr., and Anthony D. Eddings (Michelle) Sr of Sacramento, CA, along with a
host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
