Julio Ceasar Ugalde

Naugatuck - Julio Ceasar Ugalde Jr., age 60, of Naugatuck, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025. He was born on June 22, 1965, in Havana, Cuba, to Julio and Maria Ugalde.

Julio lived a life devoted to his family, faith, and hard work. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Theresa Pohorence-Ugalde, and his four children: Erica Lopez and her husband, Jeremiah; Joshua Ugalde and his wife, Kathleen; Kevin Ugalde and his wife, Katherine; and Julia Gonzalez and her husband, Roberto. He was a proud and loving grandfather to nine grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his life. Julio is also survived by his sisters, Marbelis Ugalde and Julia Ugalde-Tirana, both of Matanzas, Cuba. He was preceded in death by his son, J.C.; his brother, Richard; and his father, Julio Sr.

For many years, Julio dedicated himself to his work as a supervisor with Easter Seals, where he was admired for his strong work ethic, kindness, and leadership. Beyond his career, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend—a man whose laughter, wisdom, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. A service will be held at 4 pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
