Julius Leon Claybourne

Julius Leon Claybourne was dad to his 3 Shining Stars, Paw-Paw to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, many affectionate names to his sister, Uncle Leon to his nieces and nephews and JC to so many friends. He entered his eternal rest on August 11, 2025.
Julius was born on October 29, 1953, he shared the born day with his niece Cynthia "PeeWee" Clayborn. He was born in Rohwer, Arkansas and was the youngest son of 5 children (ClaraStein, Dorothy, Dallas "Joe" and Willie). In 1958, the family moved to Kansas City, KS. Julius admired his brothers dearly and followed in their footsteps as much as he could. In 1965, he attended Northeast Jr. High and met his best friend Rodney Redic, the 2 would remain best friends for life. Julius, like his brother Willie, attended Sumner High School and graduated in 1971 and then he joined the United States Air Force in the same year. He remained in the Air Force until he was honorably discharged. He returned home to Kansas City, KS and married his high school sweetheart Rosalyn L. Justice, and to this union 4 children were born (Antionette-1974, Tina-1976, Julius Jr-1977, and LoEsther-1978).
His only son, both parents, his sister ClaraStein, both brothers, nieces (Cherrylene "Charlene" Ferrell and Debra "Debbie" (Fred) Hampton), nephews (Morris Union, Jarvon Claybourne and Dale Clayborn) all preceded him in death.
Julius leaves to cherish his memories, his 3 Shining Stars, daughters Antionette (3 daughters), Tina and LoEsther (2 sons and 1 daughter). His sister Dorothy (Fred) Little, half-brothers Maurice Claibourne and Larry (Angie) Claibourne (1 son and 1 daughter), sisters-in-laws Anner Clayborn (Dallas "Joe") and Jolane Claybourne (Willie). Nephews Sylvester (Charise) Union III (4 sons and 2 daughters), Sean Claybourne (2 daughters and 2 sons), Dale's 2 daughters, Willie (Yolonda) Union (2 daughters and 1 son), Julian Claybourne (1 son), and Elaine (Jarvon) Claybourne (1 daughter). Nieces Cherrylene's 3 sons and 1 daughter, Angela "Angie" Jordan (2 sons, Deonte preceded him in death), Debra's 1 son and 1 daughter, Willeen Williams (2 daughters), Rochelle "Chell" Little (1 son and 1 daughter), Cassandra "Sandy" Little (2 daughters, Keya preceded him in death),, Cynthia Clayborn(1 daughter), "Rochelle Downs (1 son and 1 daughter), Jacqueline Claybourne (2 sons and 2 daughters), Joy "Jay" Claybourne-Love (2 sons and 2 daughters), 11 great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
