Julius Lilly Obituary

Julius Dale Lilly, lovingly known as Dale, went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2025. Dale surrendered his life to Jesus in 1993; his faith in God's grace shaped his story. Dale was born and raised in Ohio and began his career at Howmet in September 1978, where he worked as a millwright for many years. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in his craft. Known for his strong work ethic, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need, Dale left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working beside him.

Dale was a jack of all trades-the kind of man who could fix anything, whether it was a broken sink, a broken heart, or a skinned-up knee. His hands were always busy building, repairing, or creating something useful, and his heart was always open to those around him. Beyond his skills, Dale was also a devoted caregiver, selflessly tending to his mother and sister with the same love, patience, and dedication that defined every part of his life. He found peace and joy in life's simple pleasures, especially fishing and the occasional hunting trips. He found joy in nature and had a special love for wildlife, often feeding and caring for the squirrels, pigeons, and birds that visited the yard. He loved the outdoors and cherished every moment spent there with family and friends.

He is survived by his cherished significant other, Brenda Pellas, and his loving daughter, Kristina (Troy) Lefever of Bellbrook. Grandchildren: Chasity (Travis) Kubik, Brittany Lilly, Chase Lilly, Jeffery (Kennedy) Zimmerman, Brandon Zimmerman, and Cameron Zimmerman; his great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Asher, Roman, Genesis, Kylo, Koa, and Maverick. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Angela Sue Lilly (2020), his parents Bruce and Stella Horton, and his sister Beverely. He is also survived by his sister, Erma Haynes, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Dale will be remembered for his hard work, generosity, and his selfless heart. He was an amazing father and grandfather who gave freely of himself, always putting the needs of others before his own. This is only a small glimpse of the man Dale was. There isn't enough paper in the world to tell the story of everything that Dale meant to the people who loved him, his accomplishments, and the love and kindness that he gave so freely.

A verse that reflects Dale's heart and spirit: God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life for Dale will be held on October 25, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM, at Busch Funeral Home 7501 Ridge Road in Parma, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Dale's life, sharing memories and stories that reflect his spirit and caring nature.
