June Barker

June F. Barker of Connersville passed away on Monday evening, February 23, 2026, at the age of 84. June was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on March 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Flossie and Viola Isaacs.

In the spring of 1991, June was united in marriage to Barton Barker in Connersville. They shared 34 years of marriage together prior to her death.

June was a much-loved waitress, working throughout her adult life in local restaurants. She was known by many as their favorite waitress in Connersville. When not working she loved eating out, watching gameshows on TV, or going shopping. Her favorite past time was watching the sunset.

June's love and memories will be cherished by her husband, Barton; grandchildren, Morgan (Tristan Foster) Roberts and Jarrod (Destany Burge) Roberts, and three great grandchildren. She will be thought of often by her stepdaughters, Donna Barker and June Compton; seven step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephew, Gail Vickers, Kim Sparks, and Rick Brown.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Roberts; sisters, Georgia Brown and Joyce Isaacs; and stepdaughter Sara Howard.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the love she shared with her family.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Monday March 2, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service. June will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
