Kyle Rader Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Urban Winkler Funeral Home - Connersville on Feb. 17, 2026.
Kyle Douglas Rader of Connersville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 16, 2026 at the age of 27. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on a beautiful summer day, June 4, 1998. Kyle is the son of Douglas Rader and Tina Ellis Bunzendahl.

Kyle was a 2016 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. He had recently went to work in the food manufacturing industry, where he was employed at Boar's Head. Kyle attended worship services along with his mother and family at Higher Praise Worship Center.

Kyle loved spending time in the outdoors, whether he was hunting or fishing, he felt refreshed after spending time doing his favorite hobbies. Kyle was a true musician, the type of man that could pick up any instrument and have a song memorized by the end of the day. His favorite instruments include the guitar and piano. Kyle was also a talented artist, and he loved tattoos. In Kyle's younger years he was an avid skateboarder, and was always trying to accomplish his next big skill. He also participated in athletic activities such as baseball, soccer, basketball, and football; where he displayed his natural talent. When Kyle wasn't at work, or thriving in his favorite hobbies he loved nothing more than to spend time with his family, specifically his son. The love that Kyle had for his son, Kaspen, was incomparable. Kyle was a great man, he had one of the biggest hearts, and he was kind and always willing to help anyone, especially his friends and family. The love that Kyle showed for other's will be missed greatly for all that adored him.

Along with his parents, Douglas Rader (Deanna) and Tina Bunzendahl (JC); he is survived by his pride and joy, his son, Kaspen Rader, maternal grandfather, Mike Ellis, paternal grandparents, Dallas Rader and Marilyn Messina. He will be deeply missed by his siblings; sister, Kelsey Gettinger (Tom), step-sister, Kassye Hurley, and step-brothers, Dalton Hurley and Caulin Bunzendahl. He is survived by his uncle Michael (Amie) Ellis, and their children Izzy, Alex, Madi, and Sebastian. His memories will live on in his nephews; Thomas Gettinger, Myles Gettinger, Ollie Hurley and niece; Claira-Jane Robertson.

Kyle is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sheila Ellis.
