Nancy DeWeese Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Homes - Dublin on Feb. 16, 2026.
CAMBRIDGE CITY- Nancy DeWeese, 81, of Cambridge City, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, February 14th, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late Donald Keith and Mary Lucille (Weesner) Bryant, Nancy was born in Dublin, Indiana on August 8th, 1944. A lifelong member of the Western Wayne community, Nancy graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962. Nancy married the love of her life, Ron DeWeese at the First Baptist Church in Cambridge City on June 8, 1963. Ron was drafted by the United States Army in the late 60's at which time Nancy worked at Perfect Circle in Hagerstown. Following Ron's service to the country, he and Nancy started a family and were blessed with two daughters, Rhonda and Jean. Nancy was proud that she was able to stay home and raise the girls while they were young. She stayed active in their school activities, sports and clubs that they were involved with. Once the girls reached middle school age, Nancy started a twenty-four-year career as the bookkeeper at Allen Chevrolet. In her leisure, Nancy enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Ron and the girls would like to extend a very special thank you to Tammy Hebel for the care and compassion she has provided Nancy throughout the years.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 63 years, Ron DeWeese; 2 daughters, Jean Cain of Florida and Rhonda DeWeese of Muncie; 2 grandchildren, Cierra Colgrove and Samual Adams; 3 siblings, Tommy "Tom" Bryant, Lester Bryant and Patricia "Patty" Gray; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Barbara Dyer and Arnold "Tubby" Bryant.

Nancy wished to be memorialized privately. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959
