Obituary published on Legacy.com by Justen Funeral Home & Crematory - McHenry on Nov. 15, 2024.
June Marie Froehlich/Culbert went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 10, 2024. June was born March 20,1960 in Missoula Montana. She is survived by her husband Brian of 42 years and children Jennifer (Tim), Gary (Kaylon), and Dylan (Nina) along with 15 grandchildren. She is also survived by her 12 siblings: Dan, Glen (Cyndi),Joe (Sue), Larry (Lisa), James (Theresa), Nancy French (Paul), Rita Froehlich, Diane Ivanoff (Brad) Joanne Hunter, Andrew (Christina), John (Kate), and Bonnie Hamilton (Matt). She was preceded in death by her son Christopher and her parents Richard and Rosalie.
In September 1982, June married the love of her life, Brian Culbert. They brought three children into the world: Gary and Jennifer in 1983 and Christopher in 1985. The family eventually relocated, where Dylan joined them, growing their family once more. With June's family being complete, she took pride in being a wife, mother, sister, and friend.
June carried this light about her, embracing people from all walks of life, and found importance and ease in talking to anyone and everyone.
While living in Twin Lakes, WI, her home became a safe place for children and teenagers to talk, eat, and feel loved. June had a passion for making everyone feel included, welcomed, cared for and important, and quickly she became known as "Mama June". June's talent and love of cooking and baking became a favorite to everyone who knew her, as her food was delicious! Soon her cooking for a family turned into cooking for many more and she enjoyed every moment of it.
June knew her purpose in life was to teach others about Jesus, the Catholic Faith, caring for others, and seeing good in people. Her love for the Holiday's and decorating filled her soul and home with Joy, as she valued time, pictures, and memories. June stated many times, "This is what the world could look back on and remember me by."
As June grew older, she welcomed many grandchildren into the world. She adored them and her house was always filled with grandchildren, cousins, and sleepovers. June wanted to carry on a tradition that her Grandmother had done for her, spending time with her grandchildren and making sure they all were close.
June will be remembered for her love of others, the power of the Rosary, the power of the Catholic faith, and how much she loved Jesus and sharing him with the world.
Be Still and Know that I am God.
Psalms 46:10
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
