June Fenstermaker Obituary
June Lang Fenstermaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 27, 2025 in Pocatello, Idaho.
June was born on March 18, 1949 in Murray, Utah as the only daughter of Esther Olive Rindlasbacher and George Milton Lang. As a young girl she enjoyed training and riding horses alongside her father near her home. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1967 and went on to attend beauty school and become licensed in cosmetology.
On August 29, 1969, she married her best friend, John Ivan Fenstermaker and they were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. She and her husband, with their four children lived in Sandy, Utah until 1994 and then moved to Garfield, Idaho. June found her greatest joys in her sewing room, tending to her yard and flowers, and riding horses with her family. Her most cherished accomplishment was creating a nurturing and supportive home for her husband and children. She also dedicated significant time to researching and diligently working on her family’s history.
She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Moreover, she dedicated over 13 years of her life to serving as a family history missionary.
June is survived by her children, Cheri (Kevin) Galloway of St. Anthony, Idaho; Trisha (Bryan) Flake of Prosper, Texas; Katy (Brent) Weight of Garfield, Idaho; John (Kristine) Fenstermaker of Pocatello, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, two older brothers, two granddaughters and one grandson. She has 15 living grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on March 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Grant Church (3431 E 100 N, Rigby, ID). There will then be a brief service at 2:00 PM, followed by the burial at Grant Cemetery. All are welcome to attend. Casual dress is appropriate.
