June Delores Gregory, 79, of Centralia passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 6, 1946, in Buchanan County, VA, one of thirteen children, the daughter of Vince and Huldie "Annie" (Matney) Blankenship. She married the love of her life, Herbert D. Gregory on March 27, 1969, in Kailua, HI and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2007.

Survivors that will remember June's warm heart and quick wit include her sons, Darrell Gregory of Centralia, Richard Gregory (Celeste) of Centralia; stepsons, John Gregory (Ann) of NJ, and T.J. Biggers (Sarah) of ID grandchildren, Justin Gregory (Shaylah), Rebekah Gregory, Nathanael Gregory; step-grandchildren, Jonathan Gregory, Jenna Gregory, Daniel Biggers, Erika Biggers, Paris Hill, and Savannah Hill; siblings, Ada Elliott, Dolly Loukmas (Nick), Loretta Baker (Nelson), Sue Elkins (Les), Ken Blankenship (Lois); sister-in-law, Shine Blankenship; special extended family, Michael Shawn Hiltibidal (Jerri Ann) of FL, Jeremy Hiltibidal (Anna) of NC, Elisabeth Barlock (Adam) of Centralia, and Zachary Hiltibidal of Centralia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Along with her husband of 38 years, Herbert Gregory, June was preceded in death by her parents, Vince and Annie Blankenship; siblings, Cleve Blankenship (Willie), Pearl Justus (Wayne), Harrison Blankenship (Alene), Joe Blankenship (Jody), Laura Bailey (Walt), Harry Blankenship, Vince Blankenship Jr; and brother-in-law, Clarence Elliott.

June enjoyed growing up in Virginia and was blessed with the chance of meeting her future husband there while working as a door-to-door magazine sells lady. June cherished the time she was able to spend raising her family. While her children became more independent as they went into High School, she went back to school and worked her way up from a CNA to an LPN all the way to an RN. June's caring, compassionate heart compelled her to serve grateful patients during their time of need for over twenty years, while working as a nurse at local nursing homes, SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia and as a nurse and a house supervisor for Salem Township Hospital. She loved being a nurse and never looked at her work as a job. June believed it was a privilege to care for others. She was an amazing cook, passionate about her time in the kitchen creating the most delicious potato salad anyone ever ate, and her gravy was known as the best around. June had magic in her hands, able to sew, mend and crochet for family and friends. She was a loving, supportive Grandma whose grandchildren appreciated her honest advice and listening ear. June will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit and extra special care for all.
