June Harsila
Ishpeming Township
June Lillian Harsila, 88, of Ishpeming Township, passed away peacefully at home Monday morning, May 5, 2025 while under the care of her loving family and UP Home Health and Hospice.
June was born June 24, 1936 in Ishpeming to Charles and Lillian Jordan and graduated from Negaunee High School. She met and married her late husband of 65 years, Howard Harsila, and together they raised their family in Ishpeming Township. Aside from being a devoted homemaker, she worked at Acocks Medical Facility in her younger years.
June enjoyed cruising in the woods with her husband, coffee clutching with family, feeding the ducks at Teal Lake, and taking walks with her special friend, Violet. She was a selfless volunteer who loved helping others, whether it be offering a ride or helping with kids.
Surviving are her sons: Scott (Amy Gauthier) and Stewart (Rene Goyen) Harsila, both of Ishpeming; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Charley Jordan of Negaunee Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Howard in 2021; son, Steven Harsila; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Harsila; brother, John Jordan; and two nieces, Amanda Jordan and Shawna Harsila.
Honoring June's wishes, no services will be held. Interment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.
