June Hedger Obituary

June Hedger, 90, of Covington, died at 3:48 pm Wednesday in her home in Covington surrounded by loved ones.
June partnered with her late husband Shelby (Hedger) to own and operate Hedger Moving Co., Hedger Grocery, and Hedger Brothers Speed Shop all located in Covington, KY. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending family events. She also spent many hours working on her lotto numbers and completing word search books. Whenever asked she was always ready for a trip to the casino. She took pleasure in spending time talking with all she met and she loved to tell stories about family history and when she was younger. She was a great cook with many of her recipes carrying on for generations to come. Most importantly, she was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all.
June is survived by her seven children, William Hedger (Charlotte) of Villa Hills, Steven Hedger of Covington, Bernard Hedger (Lisa) of Covington, Susan Downard of West Palm Beach, FL, Cindy Gaskins of Bloomington, IL, Deborah Hedger of Elsmere, and Kathy Gibson of Covington. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition, June is survived by five siblings, Mary Biller of Tennessee, Betty Jo Polly of Dayton KY, Ellen Fogle of Newport, Allen Edmondson of Covington, and Sue Deaton of Carrollton.
