June Meredith Lashbrook

June Meredith Lashbrook, 73, of Panama City, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born on March 23, 1951, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
June was a devoted wife, mother, and granny. She had a love for cooking, baking, reading, and working on jigsaw puzzles. A proud graduate of Florida State University, she made Bay County her home for more than 50 years.
June had a lifelong passion for helping children. She dedicated 28 years of service to the Guardian ad Litem program, beginning as a volunteer before joining the staff. She played a role in developing the program within the 14th Judicial Circuit, serving first as Program Director and later as Regional Director for Northern Florida. Throughout her career, she tirelessly advocated for thousands of abused, abandoned, and neglected children, ensuring their voices were heard both in court and in the community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virginia Schneider.
Those left to cherish June's memory include her husband of 45 years, David Lashbrook; daughters, Barbie Daniels and Marilyn Wilkinson (Sam); sons, Brian Newman and David B. Lashbrook (Cathy); grandchildren, Franka Mireles, Joey Lashbrook (Felicia), Niels Lashbrook, Max Lashbrook, Steven Wilkinson, Lauren Grace Daniels, Lawson Daniels, Ryan Newman, and Bowden Newman; great-grandchildren, Gia Mireles and Evelynn Lashbrook.
