June Helen Fischer-Pepe, 85, of Wayne died Saturday, June 18, 2016. She was born in Jersey City, NJ. Although abandoned at birth, June died in the loving arms of friends who adored and cherished her. She attended St. Francis Convent School in Springfield, Illinois, becoming a registered nurse. Always putting the needs of others before her own, June dedicated her life to nursing and performing unsolicited charitable acts, lighting up any room she entered, and leaving a lasting impression on the lives of all she touched. She was a pediatric nurse at St. Joseph's and Barnett Hospitals in Paterson, and the Head Nurse at Crown Cork and Screw and the Cedar Grove Residential Center. She resided in Clifton for many years before becoming a resident of Siena Village and most recently Llanfair House in Wayne. Deeply faithful, June was a devout parishioner of St. Philip R.C. Church in Clifton, and Our Lady of the Valley in Wayne. Predeceased by her husband Joseph M. Pepe, she is survived by her beloved friends Charles and Phyllis Nouhan, Dr. Victor and Eleanor Irmiere, Luca and Kim Puzzo, Gail and Amanda Pepe, and her cherished goddaughters Claudia Irmiere and Ariana Puzzo. Visiting will be held Monday morning (June 27, 2016) from 10 to 11 am at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will begin at 11 am from the funeral home and then 11:30 am at St. Paul R.C. Church, 231 Second St., Clifton. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
