June Quattlebaum Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Park Funeral Home - Main Chapel on Dec. 19, 2025.
June Amelia Hall Quattlebaum, age 80 of Oakwood, GA, went peacefully to her heavenly home while surrounded by loved ones on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Quattlebaum at the Memorial Park Cemetery on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM for friends and family.

June was a graduate of Manchester High School in Warm Springs, GA. After completing cosmetology school in Gainesville, GA, she worked as a hairdresser until she met and married her husband of 60 years. In her younger years, June always led a very active lifestyle. She loved the outdoors and was a true nature lover.

She enjoyed the simple things in life, and her faith and family always came first. She taught Sunday School and was always eager to volunteer in her church's nursery. She chose to be a full-time wife and mother because that was her highest calling. June also spent time volunteering at the Gainesville Care Center where she was often able to counsel young unwed mothers in crisis. Her greatest joy in life was becoming a grandmother.

She loved going on adventures with her sisters and her grandbabies, who knew her as "Gran." June enjoyed entertaining and going to see her favorite gospel group, the Gaithers, whenever possible. Her door was always open to anyone for a meal, a hug, a cup of hot tea, or dessert-which was also her favorite. She will forever be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Hall, and her sister, Cindy Wood.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Hartwell Quattlebaum; her son, Robert Quattlebaum; her daughter, SuAnne Gilbert; sisters, Pam Davis, Nelia Davis; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 5 nephews.

The family would like to express its thanks to Affinis Hospice for their help and wonderful care. The family would also like to ask that any donations in June's memory be given to Choices Pregnancy Care Center in Gainesville, GA.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
