June Ross Stowe, 78, of
Alexandria, Virginia, passed away peacefully on 16 November 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on 16 June 1947 in Elmhurst, Illinois, June was the daughter of the late Edward and Betty (Lewis) Ross. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in English and earned her Master's Degree in Library Science. She earned her Certified Public Accountant in 1986.
June met the love of her life, Eric Stowe, in DeKalb, Illinois, on 16 October 1966. They married on 27 January 1968 and went on to share more than five decades of partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and love.
A deeply caring and socially conscious woman, June dedicated much of her life to helping others. She was passionate about raising awareness about homelessness and social justice. June utilized her skills in finance to establish an impactful career with New Hope Housing and Wesley Theological Seminary, where her kindness and commitment touched countless lives.
Since 1978, she was a devoted member of Fairlington United Methodist Church, where she found a sense of purpose, a caring community, cherished friendships, and deep spiritual connection.
June was an avid reader, a lifelong learner, and a world traveler. She had a curious spirit and a generous heart, always eager to experience new places and connect with whomever she met.
Most of all, June treasured her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Eric, and their daughters, Jenny Stowe Kim (Donny) of San Diego, CA and Tamara Stowe (Claus) of Luxembourg; her grandchild, Tyler, and many cherished family and friends, who will forever carry her love, wisdom, and strength in their hearts.

June will be remembered for her passion, her advocacy, and her faith in God and the goodness of others. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched-and in the immense love and ministry she leaves behind.
