It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that June Popwell Traywick, 85, of Clanton, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2025, at her home in Clanton, AL, with her family by her side.
She was born June 20, 1940, in Clanton, Alabama, to the late David "Ed" Popwell and the late Dollie Smitherman Popwell.
June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved her family and friends fiercely. She loved her church, Lime Springs Church of Clanton, AL. Singing in the church choir was one of her greatest joys. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be missed and remembered forever.
She was a Job Site Assistant with Brasfield & Gorrie for over 20 years.
Surviving are her sons, Quinton (Donna) Traywick and Billy Mack (Debbie) Traywick; grandchildren, Jeanna, Corey, Latishia, and Mandy; great- grandchildren, Bryson, Kerragan, Konner, Brayden, Kallie, Chloe, Kinnsley, and Bryant; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Mack" Traywick, father, David "Ed" Popwell; mother, Dollie Mae Popwell; and siblings, Lula Bowden, Pat Popwell, Peggy Thompson, Myra Parker, Mary Frances Popwell, Gene Popwell, and Jerry Popwell.
Friends will be received Friday, December 5, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Shannon officiating.
Interment will follow at Lime Springs Church Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
