Marie Jean Junie Chantal Redon was born in Chantal, Haiti on May 20, 1956, and passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022, in Valdosta, Georgia. She was born to Joseph Redon and Villia Fleurgin and was 1 of 7 children.
She was married to Michel Labossiere in 1977 and lived in New York until 1989. She then relocated to Florida and made it her home. Junie was a certified nursing assistant and home health aide who continued her education and graduated from Miami Technical College with a Certificate of Outstanding Performance in the Medical Assistance Program.
For many years, Junie's passion was to work with the elderly and disabled population and provided those she apportioned her services to with the kindness and care they deserved. Her dedication was to those who could not take care of themselves. In her spare time, she loved volunteering and attended the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Tallahassee, FL.
Junie was a beautiful and wonderful mother who often showed her love through cooking, telling stories, and spending time with family. She adored flowers, enjoyed music, loved to sing, wearing her high heels, lived for dancing and appreciated the blessings of life. She will truly be missed by her surviving family that includes but is not limited to her four daughters Junia, Cindy, Christina, and Stephanie. Her three grandchildren Ethan, Jonathan, and Amiyah. Her sisters Josie, Jeanette and their children.
The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2022, at the Bevis Funeral Home at 11:00 AM for those who would like to remember Ms. Junie Chantal Redon and celebrate her life.
Kelly Barber of Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the Redon family with their arrangements.
