Junie L. Smart, age 68, of Foley, formerly Annandale, died Friday, May 24, 2024, at The Gardens of Foley.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation 90 minutes prior to the service. Chaplain Melanie Lichtenberg will officiate. Burial will be held at Pleasantview Cemetery.
Junie Lee Smart was born September 4, 1955, in Birmingham, AL, to Roby and Katherine (Kurz) Black. She grew up in Alabama, moving to Minnesota in 1981. She was married to Tom Smart in 1985, and they later divorced. She raised her family in Annandale.
Junie's passion for creativity and love for her grandchildren and cats brought her joy. She loved crafting, crocheting, quilting, creating Creative Memories albums, and capturing the world through the lens of her camera. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
She is survived by her sons, Darrell Elliott (Elizabeth Hardin) of Sartell and Matt (Katie) Smart of Clearwater; step-daughter, Tara (Matt) Claborn; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Keara, Ariana, Alana, Andy, and Keegan; step-grandson, Logan; siblings, Linda (Harvey) Olson, Kathy (Dennis) Smith, Pat (Mike) Mears, and JoAnn (Mike) Henson. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth and Angel Black; and grandchildren, Sammy, Nicki, Berkley, Abriel, and Dawson.
