Junior R. Buchanan ObituaryJUNIOR R. LEWIS BUCHANAN, 94 entered into rest on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in Genesis Healthcare in York, PA. Junior was born on July 7, 1930 in Rocks, MD to the late Samuel and Mary (Johnson) Buchanan.
Junior worked for Aberdeen Proving Ground for many years as well as working on his father's farm and helped many other farmers in the Airville, PA area. Junior loved to tell jokes and enjoyed teasing everyone. Junior enjoyed attending family events and cherished his family.
Junior leaves to cherish his memory:
His sisters-Barbara Willis of Toledo, OH and Joan Sharp of York, PA
His sisters-in-law: Daisy Buchanan (Willis) and Geraldine Buchanan (Gerald)
A host of nieces and nephews in addition to other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-Ted, Willis, Ernest and Gerald Buchanan.
His sisters-Adelaide Goings, Helen Jordan and Evelyn Rice.

Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a viewing from 12 – 1 p.m. followed immediately with the funeral service. Reverend William Dickerson of Fawn A.M.E. Zion Church will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery in New Park, PA.
