Junior L. Owens

Junior L. Owens, 60, of Shanks, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his residence.
Born on May 21, 1963 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Kenneth Owens and Nellie (Harden) Dunham of Glengary, WV. He was a graduate of Musselman High School, Class of 1981. He was employed by Virginia Riggers.
Words cannot describe how many lives Junior's presence has changed. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. He would give the shirt of his back or his last dollar to anyone he loved or cared for. One of his greatest joys was starting his day off at L&M Market, enjoying coffee, laughing and talking with his friends. His passions were his buddy Buster, hunting and fishing with his son, sports, and his cabin in Wardensville. He always enjoyed his friends and family at Kingspan and Virginia Riggers.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, David Eugene Dunham.
Along with his mother, Junior is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathy Owens, his sons, Nathan Owens (Meghan) of Romney, WV, Daniel Ginevan, II of Points, WV, Matthew Ginevan of South Carolina, a sister, Deborah Greenfield (Scott) of Bunker Hill, WV, a brother, Kevin Dunham (Keely) of Glengary, WV and a granddaughter, Madilynn.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor David Palmer officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Levels, WV.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, 6-8pm, at the funeral home and from noon until time of service on Sunday.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
