Junius Plaisance Obituary
A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Bourg, LA from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery - Pointe-aux-Chenes, Montegut, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Naquin Plaisance; his children, Elizabeth "Liz" (Daniel) Duet, Harold "Jun" Plaisance, Burt (Amy) Plaisance, Jeff Plaisance, Chris "Pap" Plaisance, Lisa (Todd) Bergeron; grandchildren, Lance (Melissa) Duet, Lee (Ashton) Duet, Jay (Andrea) Plaisance, Dustin (Kayla) Plaisance, Sara Plaisance, Alicia Bergeron, Aryn (Tyler) Danos, Cody Plaisance, Meg Plaisance; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; brother, Paul Plaisance; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ecton Sr. and Jeanne LeBlanc Plaisance; siblings, Ecton Plaisance, Jr. and Rita Thibodeaux.
Junius was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and loved to sing with the choir. He always had a story or joke to tell and would tell it many times to anyone who would listen. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him.

To Aunt Helen and Family,
So sorry of Uncle Junius's passing. I will always remember him with fond thoughts of his calmness and sense of humor. My dad has been wanting to go see him for over a year and kept asking us to bring him to see his brother. Sadly we couldn't get him out the house without an ambulance to transport him.
All of us are thinking of you in your loss and praying for God's peace for all of you.
