Obituary published on Legacy.com by Westgor Funeral Home - Menasha on Feb. 10, 2026.
Mary Ellen Plaisance, age 82, peacefully passed away on February 9, 2026, in Grand Chute, Wisconsin.

Mary Ellen was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Walter Plaisance; her parents, Anthony and Lucille DonLevy; her brothers, Anthony Phillip and William; and her sister, Lois Faye.

She was a devoted mother to Christpher Michael (Kelly) Plaisance, Amy Lyn Plaisance (Rob Stumpf), and Beth Ann Plaisance. She was a cherished grandmother to Annah Plaisance, Nolan Plaisance, Virginia Connell, Gavin Connall, Grace Hill, Miles Hill, and Fynn Hill. She is survived by her beloved brother, Kenneth (Phyllis) DonLevy.

Mary Ellen found joy in gardening, cooking, and baking, and especially treasured time spent with her beloved black Labrador, Tubbs. She deeply loved spending time with her family at her cabin in Northen Wisconsin, where she enjoyed fishing with her husband and sharing the space with her extended family. She was known and loved for her caring nature, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. Mary's warmth and laughter touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Fox Valley Humane Association. Mary Ellen had a soft spot for all animals and deeply cared about their proper care and well-being.

A funeral mass will be held Monday February 16, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd, Menasha, WI 54952. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Mary was such a bright spot at St. Patrick's. I talked with her during the first week of December and she was a delight. She said thank you but "No I don't really need a meal delivered, give it to someone who really needs it. My family helps me a lot."
My sympathy to all of you. Your mom was a peach!
