Wayne A. "Jim" Schink

On January 24, 2026, God came to take one of the best to heaven. Wayne "Jim" A. Schink of Menasha, surrounded with the love of his family, was welcomed to his home in heaven.

Wayne was born to the late Arthur Schink and Stella Ermers (Frederick). He was the oldest of three.

Growing up, Wayne worked at Reid Golf Course, worked construction, on a farm, and did landscaping. He then worked for Central Paper Corp. for 44 years until retirement. He had an outstanding work ethic.

Wayne met his soulmate, Verna Schink (Lontkowski), and they shared five children, many memories, and 67 years together until her death in 2022.

Wayne lived life to the fullest. He loved working on cars, motorcycles, and boats. He was so intelligent he could fix anything. He built a cabin in Eagle River where we all spend time and made many memories. Hunting, fishing, boating, he did it all. He was an avid sports fan, watching the Packers, Brewers, NASCAR, and Badgers, he loved them all. Being outside by the pool, grilling out, and enjoying life is what he did best. As a family, he took us camping and traveling in the RV to see it all. Most of all, he loved spending time with family, kids, grandkids, and dogs. We all loved being with him also. He was always goofing around, making jokes, and being funny. He had a great sense of humor.

Wayne is survived by his children: Barb (Tim) Reese, Kathy (Greg) Westphal, Amy (Bob) Zwick, Dennis Schink, Terry (Vicki) Schink; grandchildren: Laudan (deceased), Melissa (Tim) Ludvigsen, Renee (Adam) Carthew, Timothy (Chelsea) Niemuth, Nicole Tangney, Alyssa (Grant) Arnold, Jordan (Nancy) Zwick, Hunter Zwick; great-grandchildren: Dustin (Katie), Kody (Abby), Cole, Talia, Mason, Blake, Aubrey, Norah, Atticus; great-great-grandchildren: Kinley and Declan Ludvigsen; sister: Becky Ebben; many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Todd Painton, his visiting nurse Michelle, and the nurses at St. E's second floor.
