Justen Dion Patterson, 40, of Winston Salem, North Carolina, passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and quiet generosity that touched everyone who knew him.
Justen had a gentle spirit and a joyful heart. He loved movies of every kind and could talk about his favorites for hours. Bowling brought him laughter and connection, and the library was one of his favorite places to unwind, explore new stories, and enjoy a moment of peace. He also had a special love for karaoke - never afraid to grab the microphone, sing his heart out, and bring a smile to everyone around him. One of the things people will remember most about Justen was his remarkable memory for the people he cared about. He would ask for your birthday once, and from that moment on, he would never forget it. Every time he saw you, he would remind you - not out of obligation, but out of genuine affection. It was his way of making people feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Family meant everything to Justen.
Justen is survived by his devoted parents, Tim and Vikki Patterson, and by his loving brothers, Mike and Dawn Robertson, Heath and Lee Ann Robertson, and by caring grandparents Lawrence and Gloria Wall, who will forever hold his memory close. He was cherished by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His kindness, his easy smile, and his steady presence made him someone people would naturally gravitate toward. He also leaves behind a wide circle of extended family and friends who were blessed to share in his life.
A service to honor and celebrate Justen's life will be held on Friday, February 27th, 2026, at Cumby Funeral Home in
High Point, North Carolina. Visitation begins at 10:00am. Service starts at 11:00am. For those that would like to attend, the committal will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and reflect on the joy he brought into their lives. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made - through his compassion, his humor, and the simple, genuine way he cared for others - will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Cumby Family Funeral Service of High Point is honored to serve the Patterson family at this time.
