Justin Denson, age 40, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Friday, October 16, 2025. He was born April 5, 1985 to Mike and Sandi Denson in Marietta, Georgia.
Justin loved his days growing up in Jasper and the many friends he made. He treasured his time on the basketball court, from his high school days at Pickens High to playing during his college days. He found joy in cooking-eventually becoming a talented chef who built a successful career.
Justin was loved by many. His warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Justin is survived by his parents, Mike and Sandi Denson of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Chad Miller; nieces, Riley Miller and Avery Miller; and grandfather, Will Denson. Several other family members also survive.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Preston Jones and Mark Mitton officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jasper First Baptist Church.
The family requests that no food be brought to the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
